Oh Balls!
Today I mowed a meadow of a lawn & attacked some unwanted weeds in a student house. The next door neighbours had thrown over a total of x16 tennis balls, and a cricket ball to top it off!
Every time I unknowingly hit one, my mower surrendered and ground to a halt… My trusty lawn mower powered on through and even slung a tennis ball across the garden like a tennis serving machine.
Luckily there was nobody on the receiving end! Very pleased with the results after a couple of hours of hard graft, and hopefully the landlord will give the students their deposit back!

The way you described the sudden, chaotic bounce reminded me of that endless afternoon when the ball ricocheted off the cement wall, sending us all scrambling to catch it before it rolled under the fence https://ndh.org.au/ I remember the thrill of that unpredictable tumble, the laughter that erupted each time it seemed to defy gravity, and the way the simple act of chasing a ball could turn a lazy day into an adventure. We’d all gasp, then burst into laughter as we scrambled to retrieve it, soaked shoes and all https://www.accc.gov.au/system/files/social-media-influencer-testimonials.pdf That chaotic moment taught me that sometimes the most memorable experiences come from the little things going wildly off‑script. It’s funny how a phrase like “Oh Balls!” can instantly summon that mixture of surprise, frustration, and joy we all feel when…
